Thinking about growing mushrooms at home? This is the perfect place to start! Save yourself the frustration and expense of drilling spawn jar holes, locating all the individual ingredients, and measuring out ratios; our 25-35 liter starter kit has the essentials you'll need to dive into the wonderful world of fungi. This kit contains:
- 4 glass spawn jars with vented and ported lids
- 360 grams of Rye Grain
- 18 grams of Pelletized Gypsum for Grain Spawn Use
- 1 roll of 1"x10yd Micropore Tape for Jar Vents
- 390 grams of Coco Coir
- 1.1 liters of Vermiculite
- 35 grams of Pelletized Gypsum for Substrate Use
- Detailed procedure for start-to-finish mushroom growing
There are a few things you'll need (not included) to successfully grow mushrooms with this kit:
- 15-20 cc's of spore or liquid culture solution for the dung-loving mushrooms of your choice
- (1) 25-35 liter plastic tub with lid
- A 1.5-2" diameter hole saw for cutting holes in your tub
- A pressure cooker or instant pot
- Cleaning supplies (rubbing alcohol, paper towels)
- Kitchen equipment (stovetop, pot with lid, mixing spoon)
